Beauty Review: MUA Pro & Superdrug Hot Cloth Cleaner

Hey everyone!

MUA Professional

So a few weeks ago I was In Superdrug and spotted the new MUA Pro range, and I must say I was more than excited. They have so many new products in this line, 7 different Trio eyeshadow's, 6 eyeshadow pallet's containing 12 shadows in each, 6 Extreme metallics shimmer bricks, 3 in 1 all over eye pen, Mascara, Foundations, Concealer pen, Mosaic blushes, Felt liner, Primer and even their version of the crackle nail polish called "Nail Quake"  available in 6 colours. Wowzaaaa! Now I'm sorry I didn't take note of all the prices, however nothing was over £5 and I believe the palettes were the most expensive at £4.50.

Now I only picked up two of the shadow trio's, at £2.50 each. Guess what, MUA have given their products names! So I purchased Chocolate Box and Innocence.

Chocolate Box.

Innocence.
Lets talk packaging, it is still somewhat basic, however I like it, its not over the top, or trying to be something it isn't, its just simple, and lets the product do the talking.

These particular items contain three shadows which are like the baked powders from Mac etc. One is intended for all over the lid, one for outer corner and crease and the lightest shade is for a highlight. This is what is described on the back of the product in a small diagram, but you can use these however you like really. I assume this diagram is only there to help people starting out in make-up, which is a nice friendly little touch.

You also get a sponge applicator inside this mini pallet, which is of a very high quality, you really could get away with using this everyday.

The shadows themselves are FANTASTICO! The pigment is amazing, on par if not better than the original MUA range. The colour payoff is great as you can see from the swatches. They blend so so well, and last all day. I haven't got a bad word to say about these, they are just an amazing product, perfect size to put in a handbag and carry with you, the applicator is reliable so you wouldn't have to worry about carrying brushes around with you either if you were wanting to touch up your make up during the day. For £2.50 these are an absolute steal, serious recontamination, and a great range to pick from so get along to Superdrug your bound to find a colour you like and make a  purchase!.

Superdrug Hot Cloth Cleanser

Now I haven't tried Liz Earle's version of this, so I can't compare, I shall simply give you my honest opinion on this particular product and how it worked for me.
Firstly this was only £2.99, which is a great price, considering Superdrug sell a single muslin cloth for £2.09. In the past I have picked up muslin cloths from the baby section of Boots and I think it was about £4 a pack, so to get the cleanser which is a whopping 200ml bottle and the cloth all at this low price already has my backing.

" Vitamin E Hot Cloth Cleanser with muslin cloth is ideal for removing dirt and make up whilst providing gently exfoliation. This will help improve circulation, leaving skin deeply cleansed, soft and radiant,.. Vitamin E, a powerful antioxidant that will help to shield your skin against environmental damage and premature againg,...The rich creamy formula also contains a skin conditioning multivitamin complex comprising vitamins A, B, F and H, which combined with horse chestnut extract, helps to care for your dry skin."

I really love this product, and I must admit it takes a lot to impress me when it comes to cleansers. It took me months and month to find the one I use now and have stuck with it for years. The smell is beautiful, its like coconuts and suntan lotion, very light and calming scent. The cleanser itself is extremely thick, rich and creamy as described on the packaging. A little goes a long way with this product due to its consistency, it had no issues with removing every last scrap of my make up, including mascara. It was very gently on the eye area and caused no stringing or irritation at all, which I rate highly. The cloth is very good quality too, and feels lovely on the skin when it comes to removing the cleanser. It is exactly the right  texture if that makes any sense. I have used clothes which have been much rougher and have been a little too hard for my skin, and at the other end I have used ones that have no effect at all, this is slap bang in the middle and perfect for me.
After I used this my skin was very soft, and all access oil ( and other gross things) had been removed. My face looked clean and the skin very clear. I have had no problems with it yet and shall inform you if my opinion changes, however right now I really rate this and recommend it to you guys. Oh and I do not have dry skin, if anything I have normal to slightly oily, and it still works great for my skin.

Oh and I thought I would add a little picture of how I currently have my nails. So quick and simple to add a splash of colour for the summer. If you would like a tutorial on this look let me know.
