A few reviews

Ahoy there and other nautical expressions! On this rainy Friday afternoon I thought I would try my hand at actually writing a real blog post, so wish me luck :) I have recently made a few little beauty purchases and thought I would share my views with you all.
Sorry for some reason I can't get this picture the correct way round,. oh dear

So the first thing I shall talk (write about) is the new range of V05  shampoo, conditioner and hair care products. I bought these from Tesco as they had a buy one get one free offer on the shampoo and conditioner, and I shan't lie to you little beauties, this is the first/only reason I was tempted over to the V05 section. I usually just stick with what I know for shampoo and the such as it has taken me quite some time to find a product which actually works for my hair. Anywhoo less rambling and lets talk products. I picked up the ones for "damaged hair" and I can assure you, I have the most damaged coarse hair imaginable now, due to bleaching. I decided to go from my natural extremely dark brown hair, to a white/platinum blonde colour, so as you can imagine it has been through utter hell ( poor little fro). Oh and I paid about £3.50 for both due to the offer. Now I am impressed with these on a whole, however I do find after I have shampoo'd my hair, and before I apply the conditioner, my hair feels HORRIBLE!, almost as if it has been stripped completely of all things nice and lovely, however it is extremely clean and it does manage to get rid of the tons of pesky hairspray I use. Then I slather, yes slather! on some of the conditioner and all is right with the world again, it leaves my hair beautifully soft and feeling well nourished. It smells pleasant, not too overpowering but nice, it is more of a salon smell rather than a fruity smell, if that makes any sense at all, and I apologies if it doesn't.  Once I have towel dried my hair I use the other V05 product I purchased which is their new miracle concentrate "elixir with argon oil". This again I purchased from Tesco for about £5, and it is fast becoming my most reached for hair product. My hair drinks it up like a thirsty drunk and LOVES it, it does not leave my hair feeling greasy, which I was expecting with it being an oil. Also on the bottle it says a little goes a long way, however I did put on a little too much and still did not end up with greasy oily hair, hmmm maybe my hair is just so damaged it can handle a larger amount. I am rambling again, I can definitely say go give these a try, especially as they are on offer at the minute, I think you will be pleasantly surprised.

The next product to review is the Johnson's 3in1 cleansing lotion. I adore this, and I have found my local pound shop keeps it in stock which is fantastic! It is usually £3.05 in Superdrug, it is in a slightly different shaped bottle, however I think this pound shop bargain is imported from a foreign country hens the differences. I initially bought the one from Superdrug and was blown away with how effective it is, I was on the look out for a cheaper alternative to the Lancome Bi-Facial £19.50, which is what I used to use, and found this little gem. It is a combination of two liquids which you shake to activate, just like Bi-Facial, and works just as well if not better. I find it leaves absolutely no oily residue on my face, and removes even 5million layers of waterproof mascara. It claims to condition the eyelashes with its moisturising and restructuring ingredients, and I honestly believe it does. My lashes seem a lot stronger and grow happily since using this, and by happy I mean they don't fall out when I curl them anymore etc.

Onto the next item which is the Garnier summer body moisturing lotion, sun kissed look. I picked this up again from my local Pound Shop,  after watching a review on youtube by SWalker. I got it to use the same way she did, which was to put on after fake tanning, to keep the tan topped up and moisture my skin to hopefully make it last longer. I have never ever had anything good to say about gradual tanning moisturisers as I have sensitive skin and in the past they have always irritated or caused a rash. However this one has been a great success. It has kept my tan looking as dark as the first day of application, and kept my skin really happy. It has natural apricot extract, which means it does not have the usual horrible fake tan smell, but if I'm honest I'm not to keen on this smell either, I find it too strong and overpowering. I apply it before bed and can't wait till the smell subsides as its almost sickly ( in my opinion). For £1 I got 250ml which is fantastic and it is something I will make sure to repurchase, as it is summer I tend to fake tan more and this is a fantastic way to make a more expensive fake tan go a long way.

The last product I have bought to review is the new Simple spotless skin quick fix cleansing wipes. Now, I wouldn't advice these if you are wanting a wipe to remove all your make up before bed etc, these in my opinion are NOT moist enough. I tried them before bed,had to use 2, and rub my eyes quite a bit which caused irritation and soreness. I am however going to continue to use them up ( because I am tight and don't want to waste them) but I now use my Johnson's make up remover first on the eyes and to take of the majority of my make up, then use one of these wipes to "finish the job". They smell very antibacterial, a little like tee tree, which isn't to my taste but expected from a spot fighting product. I do find they remove excess oils from my skin and I have had a lot clearer skin since using these, I just wish they had a little more "wetness" to them :).

Lastly I had been collecting the tokens from Fabulous magazine (3 in total) in order to get my free gift which was 2 Nails Inc polishes in colours made in collaboration with Fabulous. I thought I would just include these in this as they are a recent addition to my collection, however I didn't really have to pay for them. I shall do a full review of these in a separate blog post, maybe even include a sprinkle of nail art :)
